I decided to drive in today as I need to pick the nippers up tonight and my other half is working from home. I left a little earlier expecting to be stuck in traffic jams and whatnot but it was almost completely clear. Typical really, if I had been late leaving I bet I would have been going at 5mph all the way 
Anyway… Laptop should arrive today, finally, after much waiting… Mind you all the waiting has made me much more excited about it, bit sad eh
I had a great ride home, even though everything was still a bit damp from this morning, and am looking forward to a few days off. It’s odd really, my new job seems good and the people are nice but I just haven’t settled in as quickly as I normally do. As I mentioned before I think a lot of this is to do with being knackered and the sudden increase in commuting distance, and I guess I’m still a touch nervous that it will all go to shit again after building up my hopes with previous company so much.
Anyway some good rest and relaxation and I think next week will be so much easier to cope with… Oh and still no laptop!
Today the heavens opened like I haven’t seen in years, and thanks to my new job I had no choice but to ride in it. My usual 50 minute commute turned into about an hour and a half because, basically, I couldn’t see anything, the rain was that harsh.
This has been a tough week all in all. Giving up smoking has screwed up my sleep patterns and my longer commute and slightly harder day has just made it worse so I am looking forward to a restful weekend so I can start afresh next week.
My weekend will hopefully comprise of…
With any luck the weather will improve and I can use it to dry off my clothes on the ride home
Since quitting smoking I have been really quite sleepy during the day and now I am back at work I am really noticing it. It has got better since I decided not to use the Nicorette gum, I can’t be sure but it would seem that something in that stuff is making the drowsyness worse.
Still no laptop 
I ordered a new laptop from Rock a few weeks back, and as it’s a brand new, all singing and dancing model I have had to wait a while for it. As I have recently changed jobs I have lost my old work laptop and am currently suffering with a G4 powerbook… a nice little machine but still not worthy of much WoW
